Burnable Payments, or BPs, are tools for reliably outsourcing work wherein scammers are prevented from profiting by a payer-controlled, last-resort "burn" option. See a simple example or read about the game theory for more details.
BPs are non-proprietary; see the Factory contract and source code here.
Toastycoin makes it easy to find and interact with BPs, or to create your own. This Frontier version is expected to undergo rapid development while providing stable basic features.
Toastycoin is also non-proprietary; see the source code here.
- Toastycoin Beta is Toastycoin Frontier's predecessor and has some minor functional differences (detailed on its home page) compared to Toastycoin Frontier. Both interfaces follow the same Factory contract, and thus share the pool of BPs.
Credit and Thanks
- Project Lead / Game Theory / Solidity / PR: coin-op Logan (medium / github / reddit).
- Gianluca Schoefer (github / reddit) was instrumental in tackling the middle- and late-stage development challenges involved in developing Toastycoin Beta, as well as real-world testing of the worker role in BP contracts.
- Many, many thanks to etherscan.io and MEW; Burnable Payment / Toastycoin development would have been magnitudes more complicated without these invaluable tools.
